About The Company
In 1985 four Sittingbourne companies were merged to form EPS Logistics Technology Ltd.
These companies were Driclad Ltd, Dristyle Products Ltd, Wellwinch Engineering and EPS
(Research and Development) Ltd.
EPS (Research and Development) Ltd was founded in 1954 and has been continuously involved
in the design, development and project management of specialised containers and handling
equipment, primarily for the defence and aerospace industries. Wellwinch Engineering Ltd
has been responsible for the manufacture of such items over a similar period.
At the time of the formation of EPS Logistics Technology Ltd all the companies mentioned
above were members of the EPS Group. But in April 1990, EPS Logistics Technology was
demerged from the Group to trade autonomously although still maintaining a close
association.
The company is registered as complying with BS EN ISO 9001 and is a listed
UK defence contractor. Major current customers include
UK MOD, AWE Aldermaston, Matra Bae (UK) Ltd, GEC-Marconi Dynamics Ltd, European
Gas Turbines Ltd and Rolls Royce Plc.
EPS LT has been involved in many major projects over the years. The company's latest
achievement is to be selected for the design, development and production of the container
for Storm Shadow, the UK MOD choice for the CASOM (Conventionally Armed Stand-Off
Missile). |
